Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna - Nature-Based Solutions for Groundwater Protection, Climate Adaptation, and Sustainable Water Resources Management

INVESTWATER promotes sustainable water management through the assessment and upscaling of Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) that enhance groundwater recharge, improve water quality, and strengthen climate resilience in Mediterranean river basins.The researcher will have to contribute to the development and application of innovative tools and methodologies for evaluating NBS performance and supporting their wider adoption. Activities include the analysis of hydrological and environmental data, assessment of groundwater–surface water interactions, support to monitoring and modelling activities, stakeholder engagement,and the development of decision-support and policy-support tools, with specific reference to the River Cornia watershed. The researcher will collaborate with international partners and contribute to scientific publications, project deliverables, and dissemination activities.
