Development of a Research Ecosystem for Monitoring and Analysis – MARE

The MARE project includes monitoring activities for arthropod vectors at high-risk sites and aims to evaluate the potential antiparasitic activity of certain viperids.The monitoring of arthropod vectors, such as mosquitoes and sandflies, is designed to assess the risk of transmission of the diseases they carry.The project also involves conducting *in vitro* tests on cell cultures infected with *Leishmania infantum* and identifying components—such as peptides—with potential leishmanicidal activity through metabolomic and proteomic analyses.
