Life Sciences and Biotechnologies

The PhD Programme in Life Sciences and Biotechnologies, organised by academic staff from four departments at the University of Sassari, aims to serve as a centre for advanced training, open to young Italian and international graduates, with the following objectives: to provide a high level of scientific expertise in both basic and applied research; to foster an aptitude for national and international scientific collaboration; to foster the capacity for independent research, both in terms of scientific understanding and the technological implications of the research topics studied. It aims to offer structured training programmes and broadly interdisciplinary research projects to foster interaction and the exchange of knowledge between rapidly growing sectors such as modern biological and biomedical sciences, as well as to promote theoretical and experimental cultural training
