High Performance Computing infrastructure for Numerical Analysis of Metal Additive Manufacturing Systems Using Artificial Intelligence (AI4AM), CUP: I53C24001770006, Project code: EFRE1052, Programme ERDF 2021-2027

The selected candidate will, in coordination with the scientific supervisor, support activities related to the development, implementation, and validation of computational methods for problems described by partial differential equations and finite element models. The activities will include the implementation and optimisation of simulation codes, including on parallel architectures and on the high-performance computing infrastructure of the artificial intelligence laboratory, as well as the processing and interpretation of numerical and/or experimental data supporting the construction of predictive models. Applications will concern, in particular but not exclusively, metal additive manufacturing and the related thermo-mechanical processes. The activity will be carried out at the university premises and involves documenting the codes developed and reporting periodically on the activities performed.
