Description

The research programme explores the dynamics of cultural and communicative processes in health within the digital ecosystem. The study employs generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools to enhance the analysis of narratives, themes, and frames embedded in health-related multimedia content disseminated through social media, websites, and digital platforms, with particular attention to health literacy processes in contexts of vulnerability. The objectives are to: develop and validate methodologies that integrate AI tools into sociological research on health communication; investigate how specific health-related narratives and frames circulate, evolve, and shape communication between institutions and citizens; and critically assess the role and biases of AI in shaping the digital culture of health. The research will provide empirical and theoretical contributions while addressing the ethical implications of AI-driven social research.
