Description
The scientific-disciplinary sector is defined in relation to the body of knowledge and skills relating to the vast field of scientific research, teaching, higher education, and cultural and historical-cultural exploration and promotion, which are inextricably linked to the production of the so-called "literary space" in Latin from its Middle Republican origins to the end of Late Antiquity. Within this chronological span, the study encompasses poetic and prose expressions, preserved by direct tradition and/or attested by indirect tradition, attributable to established or anonymous authors, pseudonymous and pseudepigraphal, including those of Christian inspiration and themes. Drama, hexametric poetry, lyric poetry, epigram, elegy, and occasional poetry; oratory, historiography and biography, philosophical and rhetorical treatises, narrative, and scholarly, encyclopedic, artistic, scholastic, and exegetical writings and manuals
