Ref. 353 - Development of innovative insulating systems and advanced diagnostic methodologies for high-voltage power transmission cables
Scientific-Disciplinary Group
09/IIND-08 - Electrical Energy Engineering
Description
The candidate will focus on the study of insulating systems for high-voltage cables, both AC and DC, used for electric power transmission. A significant part of the activity will involve the development and characterization of innovative materials aimed at improving the electrical properties of the insulation. Electrical performance will be evaluated through space-charge measurements, polarization/depolarization currents, dielectric spectroscopy, accelerated lifetime tests, and chemical–physical analyses. In addition, the successful candidate will contribute to the development of diagnostic methodologies and lifetime and aging models to assess the degradation state and reliability of these insulating systems.
