Description
To develop innovative technologies for precision medicine in orthopedic diseases through advanced cell biology techniques, 3D cellular models (spheroids, organoids, tissue cultures), and patient-derived cells (primary cultures, induced pluripotent stem cells). Dynamic chip-based models will be integrated to reconstruct the vascular–tumor interface and complex tumor microenvironments, enabling the analysis of biological processes under controlled in-vitro conditions. Advanced morphological techniques (multiphoton confocal microscopy, live holotomography), molecular biology methods (real-time PCR, Western blotting), and analyses of metabolic pathways related to cellular stress, including the unfolded protein response, will be applied. The aim is to create translational models for pharmacological screening and personalized assays, with a focus on orthopedic diseases of high incidence or severity (neoplasms, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis), while reducing the use of animal models.
