Model and methods for quantum information theory and applications
Scientific-Disciplinary Group
02/PHYS-02 - Theoretical Physics Of Fundamental Interactions, Models, Mathematical Methods And Applications
Description
The researcher will carry out his/her research in the PHYS-02/A area, focusing on the physicalmethods and models underlying quantum information theory, the foundations of quantummechanics, and the constraints on the description and modeling of fundamental interactions. Theapplication of these methods and models to the main fields of quantum information theory, such as computation, communication, simulation, and sensing of signals and fields in the quantum regime, is also expected. Teaching commitments will include courses in the same scientific discipline and those in related areas. Significant activities are planned in the field of technology transfer, also aimed at developing the physical modeling of optimization problems.
