Development and application of advanced statistical methods for analysing data in various fields,such as agricultural sciences, environmental sciences and food sciences. Scientific efforts mainly focus on the development and application of advanced statistical methods for analysing data in various fields, such as agricultural sciences, environmental sciences and food sciences. The scholar in the field of statistics is engaged in developing new models, techniques, and algorithms, with a particular focus on multivariate analysis, mixed models, statistical inference, machine learning and probabilistic models. The commitment is also aimed at promoting, organising, and coordinating research activities and managing projects of interest to the SSD, with particular reference to research and applications in the field of information processing for decision support.
