Social studies on emerging technologies 2026_RTT_DIG_2

The researcher will contribute to the activities of the Department of Management, Economics, and Industrial Engineering by providing methodological expertise in social research, particularly in ethnographic qualitative research, and by drawing on knowledge from Science and Technology Studies (STS) to support the investigation of technological innovation. They will therefore conduct research - especially in interdisciplinary contexts - on technological innovation processes, both in emerging digital forms (Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Reality, etc.) and in the traditional forms characteristic of key productive sectors in the Italian economy. In addition, adopting an STS perspective, they will promote research on the adoption, social acceptability, and social impact of emerging technologies.
