Readout Electronics and Semiconductor Devices for Radiation Detection and Measurement Systems 2026_RTT_DEIB_4

The research activity will focus on the design and experimental characterization of Application-Specific Integrated Circuits (ASICs), devices, and systems for the detection, spectroscopy, and imaging of radiation and particles, applicable to scientific and industrial fields. Specifically, mixed-signal ASICs for the readout of radiation and particle detectors will be designed with ultra-low noise and low power consumption features. Special attention will be given to the development of multi-channel CMOS ASICs for X and gamma ray space telescopes used in astrophysics. Detectors based on both elemental and compound semiconductors such as Si, CdTe, CdZnTe, as well as Low Gain Avalanche Detectors (LGAD) for spectroscopy applications will be designed, simulated, and characterized.
