PHYS-06/A PHYSICS FOR LIFE SCIENCES, ENVIRONMENT, AND CULTURAL HERITAGE

The candidate will carry out research activities in the field of physics applied to life sciences, with particular reference to the development and use of physical, biophysical, optical, and nanotechnological methodologies for the study of biological and biomedical systems. Activities will focus on the development and characterization of biomaterials, nanomaterials, and two-dimensional materials for applications in nanomedicine, precision oncology, tissue regeneration, and photoinduced therapies, also through three-dimensional cellular models, scaffolds, organ-on-chip platforms, microfluidics, and bioprinting. Relevant expertise will also include advanced microscopy, atomic force microscopy, fluorescence imaging, and quantitative analysis of biomedical images and data. Teaching activities will be carried out within the PHYS-06/A academic discipline in degree programs of the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery and in Specialization Schools.
