Development of advanced methods, models, and tools for circular and sustainable manufacturing in complex industrial systems and value chains supporting the European digital and green Twin Transition 2026_RTT_DIG_4

The research activity aims to develop advanced methods, models, and tools to support the transition towards circular and sustainable manufacturing systems in complex industrial contexts and value chains. The activity focuses on integrating digital technologies (e.g., digital twin, Industry 4.0) with circular economy principles, in order to improve resource management, operational efficiency, and environmental sustainability. Particular attention will be devoted to designing solutions for end-of-life product management, recovery of critical materials, and reconfiguration of value chains. The outcomes will thus contribute to supporting the European digital and green Twin Transition
