Ref. 4364_All. 6 - Effects of Fatigue on Functional Capacities: Implications for the Assessment, Prescription, and Monitoring of Exercise Programs in Various Populations

Research activity in line with the topics covered by the SSD MEDF-01/A and, in particular, focused on the study of the effects of fatigue on functional capacities. Physiological (cardiorespiratory and metabolic tests, electromyography), biomechanical (postural and kinematic analysis), and psychological assessment techniques will be used to analyze how fatigue affects motor performance in various populations, including subjects with neurodegenerative diseases and individuals engaged in physical and sport activities at different levels. The results will aim at developing evidence-based methodologies for the assessment, prescription, and monitoring of exercise programs directed toward health promotion and the prevention of non-communicable chronic diseases related to sedentary behavior
