Research activities focus on the development of numerical models and methods for the analysis and simulation of complex systems for electric power generation, transmission, and distribution. These systems comprise a large number (tens of thousands) of renewable energy sources, such as small-scale photovoltaic systems installed in residential (urban) areas, connected to the grid through power electronic converters and energy storage systems, including electric vehicles equipped with V2G converters. The developed models are used for grid stability analysis, reliability and robustness assessment, fault analysis, and expansion planning
