Development, Sustainability and Resilience in Productive and Territorial Systems

Project analyses processes of development and transformation in productive and territorial systems, with particular attention to the interactions between firms, markets, institutions and public policies. The research may address innovation and new technologies, the organization of value chains, the circular economy, the energy transition, efficient resource use and environmental sustainability. It will also consider the territorial dimensions of development, including cities, infrastructure, transport, sustainable mobility and the capacity to respond to economic, environmental and climate-related shocks. Through theoretical and empirical approaches in applied economics and the use of micro, sectoral and territorial data, the project aims to produce evidence useful for public policies oriented towards competitiveness, resilience, sustainability and inclusive development.
