Description

The two-year research project "Use ofartificial intelligence and continuous monitoringin bridge engineering" aims todevelop an integrated methodology forproactive bridge management, moving fromperiodic inspections to data-driven maintenance.Through continuous structural monitoring systems Through continuous structural monitoring systemsand artificial intelligence algorithms(machine and deep learning, hybrid physical-data driven methods),the project aims to identifyanomalies, estimate the evolution of degradation, andsupport maintenance andrisk management decisions. Case studies onreal bridges, the development of replicable workflows,operational dashboards, and guidelines for management bodiesand administrations are planned, with a focus on model robustness,data quality, explainability ofanalyses, and transferability to professional practices.
