Description
The research program examines international migration—both voluntary and forced—in Sub-Saharan Africa. Its objective is to strengthen knowledge production and awareness on migration dynamics within the Region, with a focus on ten countries (Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Côte d’Ivoire, Senegal, Burkina Faso, Guinea, South Sudan, and South Africa). Particular attention will be devoted to the effects of disasters and climate change on migration and displacement, as well as to particularly vulnerable groups such as women, children, minorities, and persons with disabilities.Migration and forced displacement will be analyzed by taking into account the perceptions of frontline workers and of migrants themselves.
