Description
- The contract holder will perform an innovative estimation of the natural nutrient loads delivered to the Lombardy lakes from their watersheds, through eco-hydrological modeling with SWAT+. In the models, anthropised areas will be converted back to natural ones from the point of view of nutrient production. This will be done through models for the reconstruction of the original land use. It will thus be possible to estimate natural nutrient loads much more directly than through traditional methods.- Support will also be provided for the update of ecological- hydrodynamic models of Lake Alserio and Lakes Annone East and Annone West, which are undergoing restoration interventions.- Finally, collaboration will be provided to an experimental study on the sediments of Lake Pusiano, for the estimation of the release of phosphorus under current conditions, following the worsening of the trophic state occurred inrecent
