Research activity within the ERC project OPTiMiSE – Optimal Transport and Metric Structures for Evolution Problems, concerned with the study of evolutionary problems from a variational and geometric perspective.The research will focus in particular on the analysis of metric structures, gradient flows, dissipative processes, and the evolution of measures, through the development of new theoretical and methodological tools.Areas of interest include, for example, optimal transport, the variational analysis of partial differential equations, and the study of optimization models, with possible applications to Machine Learning.
