Description
The INFINITY project investigates the origins of financial fragility in the banking sector, with a particular focus on bank runs, the role of corporate depositors, and the political economy of deregulation and banking supervision, combining theoretical models with highly granular empirical evidence.The postdoctoral researcher will contribute to the development and analysis of theoretical models of banking fragility; to the collection, construction, and management of large-scale, high-granularity datasets on banks, firms, deposits, funding structures, regulation, and supervision; and to the analysis of banking regulation and banks’ political activities. The researcher will also study banking supervision and its impact on risk, applying advanced econometric methods for causal identification, and will collaborate in the preparation of research reports, working papers, and academic publications, while supporting the project’s overall research activities.
