Photonic and optical-interferometric systems for sensors and spectroscopy applied to metrology, environmental sciences, engineering, geophysics, chemistry and bio-medicine
Scientific-Disciplinary Group
02/PHYS-03 - Experimental Physics Of Matter And Applications
Description
Descrizione sintentica in ingl: The research activity concerns the design, study, and development of new types of resonant and interferometric optical sensors with characteristics different from existing systems, based on laser sources and advanced opto-electronic techniques. Particular emphasis is placed on: the development of active or passive resonant cavities based on optical fiber systems of various types and interrogated by laser sources; the development of sensors with resonant cavities for applications in the measurement of physical parameters; the design, simulation, and development of active or passive fiber-optic interferometric systems, as well as the study of radiation–matter interaction and the generation of radiation in the nonlinear regime
