Scientific-Disciplinary Group
13/ECON-01 - Economics
Description
The project examines the factors that determine the success or failure of public sector digitalization in developing countries and how digital technologies can improve the efficiency, quality, and inclusiveness of service delivery, fostering more equitable growth. In collaboration with local governments and NGOs, it involves four large-scale randomized experiments in India, Indonesia, Sierra Leone, and Liberia, focusing on both demand (digital access to services) and supply (remote monitoring and supervision of providers). The Post-doc will hold intellectual and operational responsibility: leading research design and field implementation, overseeing data management and advanced econometric analysis of large datasets, coordinating with partners, contributing to theoretical frameworks, and producing academic publications, with strong support for developing an independent research agenda.
