Advanced Methods of Decision Making for Energy System Modelling under Uncertainties - 2026_CDR_DENG_7
Scientific-Disciplinary Group
09/IIND-07 - Thermal Sciences, Energy Technology, Building Physics And Nuclear Engineering
Description
The research investigates the space of actions and limitations of Linear Programming approaches in energy system optimisation modelling, highlighting their challenges in representing long-term uncertainty and complex decision-making processes. It explores advanced methods for Decision Making under Deep Uncertainty, aiming to support robust energy planning across highly uncertain future scenarios. In parallel, Multicriteria Decision Making frameworks are applied to integrate economic, environmental, and social objectives. The overall goal is to enhance decision support for energy policy design at national and regional levels. The analysis is grounded in the Italian case, with potential extensions to other European contexts.
