Time-resolved spectroscopy of conical intersections in biomolecules with few-optical cycle light pulses - 2026_CDR_DFIS_2
Posted on: 20/02/2026
Deadline: 23/03/2026
Scientific-Disciplinary Group
02/PHYS-03 - Experimental Physics Of Matter And Applications
Description
Within the framework of the ERC Synergy project CONCERT, the candidate will develop an ultrafast optical spectroscopy system based on transient absorption, featuring broad spectral tunability (from the infrared to the ultraviolet) and a high signal-to-noise ratio. This apparatus will be used to study photoinduced processes in biomolecules mediated by conical intersections. The research activity will also include the use of XUV radiation and free-electron lasers.
