Description
The research activity is part of the ERC Starting Grant 101165368 MAGNETIC project, devoted to the study of minimal submanifolds in higher codimension through variational methods. The project addresses topics in geometric measure theory, the calculus of variations, elliptic PDEs, and geometric analysis, focusing on the construction and regularity of minimal submanifolds as critical points of the area functional or as limits of nodal sets associated with physically inspired energies. It will also investigate their relation with curvature and their construction in non-smooth spaces (Alexandrov and RCD spaces). The candidate will carry out bibliographic research, collaborate with the PI, publish research papers, and present results at seminars and conferences.
