Description
The research activity will be carried out within the national project “Space for the sustainable development of the planet” (SpaceItUp!). This is a program aiming at enhancing the space technology of Italy to be used for space exploration and exploitation for the benefit of planet Earth and the entire humankind. This project is organized in nine Spokes and the research team is involved in Spoke 7 “Space for the sustainable development of the planet”. It aims to outline a legal and policy framework, assessing the legal impact of Earth Observation (EO) and the complex regulatory landscape surrounding EO applications, with the final goal of providing guidance and recommendations for the effective and responsible use of EO data and information in the implementation of sustainable policies
