Description
The research activity is divided into three main areas: (1) development and fabrication ofbiocompatible and bioresorbable batteries, based on sustainable materials with low environmental impact, for biomedical, environmental and energy applications; (2) design, fabrication and integration of organic optoelectronic and photonic devices (such as OLEDs, photovoltaic cells and photodetectors) with a particular focus on biodegradable materials, lowtemperature processes and flexible architectures; (3) development of inorganic-living hybrid systems, through the integration of functional materials with plants, algae and bacteria, aimed at studying and enhancing photosynthesis and creating bio- integrated platforms for sustainable technologies.
