Description
The researcher will focus on the development and application of advanced numerical modeling techniques to the design and analysis of innovative structural space systems. A major activity concerns the simulation of protection systems involving multifield effects, integrating mechanical, dynamic, and material responses under extreme loading conditions. The research combines laboratory testing with high-fidelity computational models to validate and improve predictive capabilities. In parallel, advanced numerical tools are developed for the non-linear analysis and design of deployable systems. These activities aim to capture large deformations, material non-linearity, and complex interaction effects. Overall, the project supports the optimization of lightweight, resilient, and reliable structures for advanced protection and space-related applications
