Description
In recent years, there has been a growing interest in the deployment of robotic vehicles in agriculture to improve productivity and efficiency. In order for a vehicle to operate autonomously and safely, it is important that it is equipped with advanced capabilities of sensing and interpreting the surrounding environment. The present research position aims to study a mobile robot for field monitoring of broadleaf vegetables to implement smart fertilization practices. The activity will concern the choice of the type of locomotion, the design of the system for automatic and adaptive adjustment of the roadway, the integration of a spraying system, and the development of the control and data acquisition system in the ROS environment. The research activity will be carried out within the framework of the European project AgRibot
