Description
SSD GEOS-01/B the project proposal shall provide for the assessment of magma compressibility at selected non-basaltic volcanic systems, aimed at refining estimates of the volume of the source responsible for observed volcanic deformation, through the integration of petrological analyses and advanced numerical modelling. This activity shall combine demonstrated expertise in fieldwork for the sampling of volcanic rocks, solid knowledge of magmatic and rheological processes, and the ability to apply laboratory-based petrographic and analytical techniques. The objective is to constrain the volumes of magma accumulated during pre-eruptive phases. SSD GEOS-02/C the project proposal shall include the capability to carry out a multiparametric analysis of the processes governing the failure of magmatic reservoirs, supported by a systematic comparison with real case studies. Such analysis shall focus on advanced modelling expertise of deformation and magmatic processes
