Description

The TEO project analyses the educational and labour market outcomes of immigrant descendants in Italy, with particular attention to the role of school choice in shaping access to tertiary education and the labour market. School choice is examined by considering the role of class and school composition, territorial characteristics, and migration background. In particular, the research explores how these factors shape the choice of upper secondary education, which in turn affects access to university education and entry into the labour market. At the centre of the analysis is the agency of immigrant descendants and their families. The research program adopts a mixed-method approach.
