Advanced numerical modelling of fracture and damage in concrete: experimental validation and datasets for AI applications
Scientific-Disciplinary Group
08/CEAR-06 - Mechanics Of Solids And Structures
Description
Development and validation of advanced numerical models for the simulation of fracture and damage in concrete structural elements, with particular emphasis on the evolution of the cracking pattern and the resulting reduction in stiffness. The activity will include the analysis of data obtained from quasi-static experimental tests on concrete elements aimed at validating the numerical models, as well as the generation of structured datasets (numerical and experimental) useful for training artificial intelligence algorithms for damage estimation and/or prediction.
