Scientific-Disciplinary Group
10/ARCH-01 - Archaeology
Description
The project involves an integrated analysis of dental calculus and sediments from funerary and excavation contexts to reconstruct health conditions and parasitological dynamics from a diachronic perspective. Through microscopic methodologies and contextual analysis, the study aims to identify traces of infections, parasite loads, and interactions between individuals, environment, and cultural practices, from Prehistory to historical periods, contributing to a deeper understanding of the long-term relationships between health, lifestyles, and ecological context.
