Description
The project analyzes the formation of public opinion on European integration, drawing on social identity theories and aiming to strengthen a shared European identity. The research is empirical and relies on two main sources: survey data (including experiments) and the analysis of public debates across member states, such as political speeches and media articles, to identify arguments for and against integration at key moments in the post-war period.The post-doc will be involved in all stages of the project, with research autonomy and collaboration with Bocconi’s Institute for European Policymaking. They will contribute to data collection and textual analysis, developing methods—also based on artificial intelligence—to extract narratives and interpret results, while gaining advanced methodological skills.
