Title of the project: “Topological quantum matter under the lens of classical and quantum complexity” - The project aims to study paradigmatic many-body topological phenomena (in particular, lattice gauge theories and fractional Hall effects) using concepts related to classical and quantum complexity. A combination of numerical methods (tensor network states and exact diagonalization, and possibly stochastic sampling) and concepts such as entanglement and non-stabilizerness in the context of quantum complexity, and Kolmogorov complexity in the context of classical complexity, will be used.
