Stratigraphic, depositional and compositional characterization of Quaternary volcanic-sedimentary successions for the purpose of defining the subsurface model for the evaluation of seismic-induced instabilities
Scientific-Disciplinary Group
04/GEOS-01 - Mineralogy, Petrology, Geochemistry, Volcanology, Georesources And Applications, 04/GEOS-02 - Paleontology, Stratigraphic Geology And Sedimentology, Structural Geology And Tectonics, 04/GEOS-03 - Physical Geography, Geomorphology And Applied Geology
Description
The candidate must have experience in the acquisition, analysis, interpretation, and correlation of stratigraphic and mineralogical-petrographic data from volcanic and sedimentary deposits, for the construction of subsurface models aimed at assessing seismic-induced instabilities: coseismic faulting, landslides, and liquefactions. Ability to independently process the results obtained for the preparation of project reports, conference abstracts, and internationally relevant scientific publications will also be essential.
