Scientific-Disciplinary Group
05/BIOS-03 - Zoology And Anthropology
Description
The AVATIM project aims to create a sustainable aquaculture system based on the innovative IMTA (Integrated Multi-Trophic Aquaculture) approach, which integrates species from different trophic levels to reduce the environmental impact of fish farming and maintain a healthy marine ecosystem. In this project, we aim to study marine zoobenthic communities associated with aquaculture activities under different environmental and farming conditions. The study will be based on an integrated approach through taxonomic, molecular, and auto-ecological trait analyses, with a particular focus on species of conservation interest.
