Description
We invite applications for a fully funded postdoctoral position focused on the development of active microstructured materials and soft pneumatic actuators inspired by origami and architected metamaterials. The project explores not only their static behavior, but also their dynamic response, with particular attention to multistability, snap-through transitions, localized deformation, vibration control, and self-folding mechanisms. The research combines mechanical modeling, numerical simulation, and experimental testing to understand how these systems evolve under time-dependent loading and complex actuation scenarios.
