Description
The researcher will engage with the starting-up phase of the research project, aimed at reconstructing the history of private wealth (its accumulation, distribution and intergenerational transmission) in Modern Italy. In particular, she/he will map and survey available archives in which the sources are available, starting from Bologna, Florence and Turin State Archives, visiting them and organizing the digitization process. She/he will also work on a “rich list”, by recovering inheritance declarations for the economic elite of Modern Italy, reconstructed by means of Who is Whos and secondary literature, to study its evolution over time. Finally, he/she will also engage with the intellectual history of inequality aspects of the WeInIt project
