Description
The Research Fellow will provide technical and scientific support for the implementation of Nature-based Solutions (NbS) aimed at addressing water scarcity in small touristic islands. In particular, key activities will include supporting the design and monitoring of laboratory-scale prototypes (including green roofs and constructed wetlands) for the treatment of wastewater and rainwater, as well as the acquisition and interpretation of experimental data. Furthermore, the Research Fellow will provide decision-making support by contributing to the development of multi-criteria models for selecting optimal NbS in island contexts. This involves assessing their impact on landscape, biodiversity, and soil, also in relation to the hydrological study of the site. The candidate will also support the definition of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of pilot actions, focusing on the quantity and quality of the recovered water.
