Control and optimization of advanced schemes of wide-synchronization control for application to active distribution networks
Scientific-Disciplinary Group
09/IIND-08 - Electrical Energy Engineering
Description
The research activity concerns the definition and implementation of specific optimisation algorithms for advanced wide-synchronisation control schemes in active distribution networks. The optimisation concerns the parameters and characteristics of the wide-area controller assigned to a given portion of the active distribution network, operating on a given number of distributed resources belonging to that portion of the network. The characteristics of the wide-area controller for distribution networks must be optimised and adapted according to the operating conditions of the various multiple resources that provide control actuation, according to a variable time horizon. To this end, it is necessary to define and implement appropriate optimization algorithms. As part of the research activities, test distribution networks will also be implemented in specialised power system simulation and analysis software, such as Neplan and PowerFactory.
