Comparative evaluation of the qualifications presented by the candidates (maximum 30 points for the project proposal, maximum 20 points for the scientific and professional curriculum, maximum 20 points for the chosen publications) and of the interview (maximum 30 points). Only candidates who obtain at least 50 points in the qualification assessment, will be admitted to the interview. In order to be included in the final ranking list, which consists anyway of maximum 5 positions, candidates must be awarded at least 20 points in the interview. Specifically, the following will be evaluated: 1) quality, originality, and innovation of the project proposal; 2) relevance and importance of the research activities and of the work experiences; 3) relevance of the selected publications.
Applicants must have a PhD in Physical, Chemical or Material Sciences or equivalent (preferred qualification); or be enrolled in the third year of the PhD program – provided that the degree is expected to be awarded within 6 months of the publication of the call for applications; or possess a scientific and professional curriculum suitable for carrying out the research activity subject of the call. The selection process aims to assess: the adherence of the project proposals to the research program subject of this call; the candidates' possession of a scientific and professional background and of skills suitable to carry out such a research activity and to implement the project proposal; their knowledge of English.
