Description
The person's main work will focus on developing robust methods for evaluating language usecapabilities of LLMs. Moreover, the holder of the research contract will be part of the team organising Community Challenges on Learning in Interaction. The work is part of a large project run in collaboration with Potsdam University, and see the involvement of the University of Edinburgh, and the University of Amsterdam too. The objective of LLADIGA is to bridge the interactive and intention-driven human language acquisition setting on the one hand and the data-driven model training setting on the other. More specifically, we will explore conversational dialogue games as a stand-in for the former kind of situation, and will examine multi-turn reinforcement learning as a method for extracting a learning signal...
