Description

The following proposal aims to outline a three-year research project, the outcome of which will be an exhibition on the Palazzina Romana and the accompanying catalogue. The project aims to provide an overview with a twofold objective. On the one hand, the research will highlight the significance of the invention of the Palazzina as a decisive urban phenomenon in the formation of the modern and contemporary city; on the other, it will shed light on the events that led to the construction of this new type of building, events which we may also regard as paradigmatic of the history of Italian architecture.
