Description
The RE-LOCI project focuses on analysing and activating local food networks in South Tyrol, with the aim of strengthening the resilience of the regional agri-food system. Using a participatory action research approach, the work explores the social processes connecting farmers, consumer cooperatives, and citizens. Research activities include mapping short food supply chain best practices, engaging Koncoop consumer-members in defining social, environmental and economic indicators for local product selection, and involving local producers to assess their potential participation in the supply chain. The project also monitors the social and organisational effects of the short supply chain pilot phase. Findings will feed into at least four scientific publications.
