Advancing water reservoir control under deep uncertainty - 2026_CDR_DEIB_7
Scientific-Disciplinary Group
09/IINF-04 - Systems And Control Engineering
Description
Global climate change and socio-economic dynamics are increasingly challenging the long-term performance of water reservoir systems, exacerbating uncertainty inboth water availability and demand. This research programme aims to advance water reservoir control and planning under deep uncertainty by developing integrated,multi-objective frameworks that allow adapting control policies and other planning decisions over time. The proposed methodologies will support the identification of robust and cost-eective solutions, explicitly accounting for trade-os among competing objectives and evolving future conditions, and will be demonstrated through representative reservoir system case studies as part of the BERLIN project.
