Description

The CLIMPACT project provides the first interdisciplinary theoretical and empirical framework for measuring and evaluating the impacts of climate litigation, integrating legal, sociological, and economic analytical tools across a global dataset of approximately 500 climate disputes targeting both public (RL-A) and private (RL-B) actors. The selected candidate will conduct comparative legal analysis on the legal, judicial, and policy impact area (area α), working on thematic clusters of cases. Key activities include: systematic documentary analysis of court proceedings, legislative and regulatory responses, and administrative decisions; tracing the connections between judicial outcomes and subsequent normative and policy developments; contributing to the design of standardised impact assessment tools at individual case and cluster level and conducting surveys targeting stakeholders involved in the disputes under analysis and the general public.
