Description

The HIPAD project aims to develop sustainable hierarchically porous materials with tunable porosity and highly efficient adsorption capacity, with low environmental impact and regeneration potential. HIPAD seeks to overcome the limitations of currently available adsorbents. The novel adsorbents will be realized from renewable resources and nanostructured materials produced through sustainable processes. The relationship between the morphology and topology of pore networks in hierarchically porous materials and their adsorption/desorption properties will be systematically investigated in order to design high-performance adsorbents tailored for the efficient removal of a wide range of organic pollutants and greenhouse gases
